Since 2006, Sean has been responsible for day-to-day operation of Whitlock Capital Group. He is the chief underwriter for commercial real estate and corporate finance transactions including conduit, life insurance and wholesale transactions. He is also responsible for development of relationships with outside investors. Prior to his return to the day-to-day operation of Whitlock Capital Group in 2006, Sean was an attorney with Barna, Guzy and Steffen law firm. Sean’s practice included representation of owners, landlords and developers in the acquisition, development, leasing, financing and disposition of commercial real estate. In addition, Sean also represented commercial banks drafting complex loan documents for commercial real estate and corporate finance transactions. Sean is currently a member of the St. Cloud State Foundation Board of Trustees.

Dan has over 25 years of commercial real estate financing experience that includes underwriting, structuring and placing permanent fixed-rate loans, floating-rate transitional/bridge financing and construction loans. In addition to financing multi-family, retail, industrial and office assets, he has completed transactions involving mobile home parks, assisted living facilities, credit tenant leased properties, limited and full service hotels and LIHTC projects. Before joining Whitlock Capital Group, Dan held commercial real estate origination and advisory positions at Largo Real Estate Advisor’s, Mellon Mortgage Company, and Bond Street Capital. He established and managed the Cleveland, OH regional office for GMAC Commercial Mortgage and was the Great Lakes regional manager for Key Bank’s small balance securitization program. Dan had his start in lending with M&T Bank, completing the formal credit training program and was subsequently assigned to loan syndications. He is a veteran, having enlisted in the USAF with time spent at Clarke AFB, PI and Moody AFB, GA. Dan holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from SUNY at Fredonia and an MBA in Finance from Canisius College.

Prior to joining Whitlock Capital Group founded Oak Grove Financial a commercial real estate advisory and capital markets firm specializing in accessing capital for commercial real estate owners, developers and investors through active capital markets in North America. In addition, he advised clients on strategic asset management, distressed asset acquisition, disposition strategies, loan workouts and debt restructuring. Prior to founding Oak Grove Financial, Rob was the head of Fixed Income Underwriting at DA Davidson. He established and managed Davison’s new regional office for institutional sales, trading and underwriting of fixed income products. Rob managed institutional sales staff, bond and loan underwriters, and fixed income traders. He also established and co-managed Davidson’s new bank loan placement program. Rob also originated taxable and tax exempt fixed income products for institutional investors.

Prior to joining DA Davidson, Rob was also a founding member of Northland Securities. While at Northland, Rob’s group quickly became a leading underwriter of negotiated municipal bonds in Minnesota. Rob was also part of the real estate equity bankers group that pioneered placing private TIF notes with banks for CRE developers. He was also a key member of loan origination team that grew Northland’s loan placement program to over $100 million in 3 years.
